G'day maties!

We got to see African wildlife! It took us till the end of our time in South Africa, but thanks to Roger and Davina (in Jo'burg) we got to visit a small game park called Pilanesberg. We saw elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos (Piers kept thinking they were rocks in the water), zebras, wildebeest, lions, warthogs, springbok and other deer-like animals... It was hectic! We went to Roger and Davina's church and ran into Ric again, and then we flew out the next day. We had a great time with them all.
Well, surprise to us as well as you, we have skipped visiting SE Asia altogether and are now in Australia. We prayed about going to SE Asia the day before we were to fly out from South Africa and felt like God didn't want us to go there at all. We changed our flight to Australia to connect with our arrival in Singapore and arrived here on the 22nd of November. So here we are in Brisbane with Naomi Sakakibara. We are very proud to be her first non-family visitor from Israel in the five years she's been here. She works at a Bubble Tea shop, it's weird stuff, eh? She's leaving to Israel for Christmas in three weeks so we're scrambling to figure out what we're going to do with the rest of our time here, maybe fruit picking, maybe just touring around, we'll see.

Hey there! ! I am wondering what is up with you two--South Africa is still much on my mind, although it looks like you have put it behind you on your trek east. I am ordering SA bulb seed today from Silverhill Seeds using SA Kirstenbosch photos to help with ID. We are getting a good wet winter in California this year so we should have a good spring wild flower show in April. Happy trails to you . . . Jeanette
